If the voice memo feature is not working (you do not see any recording bars when you record a voice memo), it may be due to two possible reasons:
1. Microphone Allowance: If you realize that your voice memo feature is not working and you don’t see any recording bars, one reason for this may be that you have not activated microphone permission in your browser.
If you use Chrome or Safari, you will be asked whether you can allow Scripe.io to use your microphone the first time you use the voice memo feature. The microphone usage must be enabled for you to be able to use the Scripe voice memo function. For various reasons, you may have to give the microphone allowance again after a while (e.g. if you delete your cookies).
You can check the microphone permission as follows:
In your browser settings.
during recording in Scripe, where the recording bars must indicate that you are currently recording.
2. Wrong microphone Input: Please double-check if you have any other microphone connected to the device you are currently using to work with Scripe.
For example, if you are still connected to headphones or speakers that are out of range, the recording cannot be processed. Make sure that you have always selected the correct microphone source before starting a Scripe recording.
