The Push Notifications & Devices page allows you to enable browser-based push notifications in Chrome, test that they’re working correctly, manage connected devices, and view a history of important system notifications like incomming customer communications and medication orders.
📌 What are Push Notifications?
Push notifications are real-time alerts that appear on your desktop (even if Scrypt HQ isn’t open) to keep you informed about key activity, like:
📩 A new communication message from a patient (SMS, App, or Email)
🛒 A new customer order has been placed.
✅ System notfications that indicate oustanding actions required.
These notifications help you stay on top of customer needs without actively checking Scrypt HQ.
🛠️ Setting Up Push Notifications (Chrome Only)
⚠️ Push Notifications are currently supported only in Google Chrome Browsers.

❌ Revoke access to old or unused devices
This ensures you only get alerts on devices you still use.
🧾 Viewing Past Notifications
You can view a log of received notifications under the Notification History section:
When notification was sent
Which Device ID it was sent to
The type of trigger that prompted the notifcation, e.g SMS, Order Received, Order Updated etc.
Message content
Platform: Scrypt HQ (Web), or Scrypt Mobile (Mobile)
This is helpful if you accidentally dismissed a notification or want to review recent activity.
🧯 Troubleshooting Tips
Didn’t receive a test notification?
Ensure Chrome has notifications enabled:
Go tochrome://settings/content/notifications
Make sure Scrypt HQ (hq.scrypt.com.au) is listed under Allowed.
Using a different browser?
Currently, only Chrome is supported. Support for other browsers is coming soon.Multiple browser profiles?
Push notifications are user-specific. Each different browser profile member must enable them from their own browser.
💡 Best Practices
We recommend enabling notifications on one primary workstation per user to avoid duplicate alerts.
Clear out old devices regularly to keep your alerts streamlined.
