Resetting a Forgotten Password on the Scrypt Mobile App

How to reset your password from the Scrypt Mobile login screen.

Written by Scrypt Support

You can reset your password yourself from the login screen. The reset link is sent to the email address or mobile number you signed up with, so make sure you can access it.

Steps

  1. Open the Scrypt Mobile app and go to the login screen.

  2. Tap Forgot Password.

  3. Enter the email address or mobile number you signed up with. This is the same detail you use to log in.

  4. Request the reset link. A confirmation shows where it was sent, with the destination partly hidden for your security.

  5. Open the link from your email or text message.

  6. Set your new password (see the requirements below).

  7. Return to the app and log in with your new password.

Password requirements

Your password must:

  • be at least 7 characters long

  • include at least 1 letter

  • include at least 1 number

  • not be the same as any of your last 4 passwords

  • not repeat the same character or use a sequence (for example AAAA or 1234)

It may also include any of these symbols: ! @ # $ % ^ & *

Troubleshooting

If you do not receive a link, confirm you entered the exact email or mobile number registered to your account, and check your spam folder.

If your account cannot be found, remove any extra spaces before or after your entry, as these can be added by keyboard auto-fill.
