Send bulk SMS communications to customers

Use the Bulk Communications page in Scrypt.HQ to send an SMS to many customers at once.

Use the Bulk Communications page to send an important message to many customers at once, whether it is about bookings, stock updates, or promotions.

How to send a bulk SMS

1. Open the Bulk Communications page

In Scrypt.HQ, go to Communications > Bulk Communications.

2. Create your message

Start your message in one of two ways. Use a pre-saved template, or type your message manually in the message box.

Personalise your message for better engagement. Use the Merge Tags dropdown just above the message field to insert customer-specific information, such as first name. Personalised messages feel more genuine and get better responses.

3. Build your contact list

Add recipients using any of these methods. Import a list of phone numbers via a .csv file using the blue button, use Advanced Search to filter and select contacts, manually add phone numbers, or scan your dispense label.

4. Send now or schedule for later

Choose when the message should go out. To send now, leave the date and time blank. To schedule, set your preferred date and time.

Messages may take up to 5 minutes to be delivered. Set the date and time to when you want the message sent to your list of customers, or leave it blank to send now.

After sending

If the message is scheduled, it appears under the Upcoming list. Once sent, it moves to the History list for review.
