βœ… When to use Scrypt Pay for Remote Payments:

Use Scrypt Pay for secure, remote EFTPOS payments in the following situations:

  • Over-the-phone card payments

  • Deliveries

  • Payments by third parties (e.g. family, friends, carers)

  • Settling customer accounts

  • Any transaction where the customer is not present in-store
    ​


How to send a remote payment by Scrypt Pay

  1. Open Z Register and sign in
    ​

  2. Scan items / Select Scripts

    Proceed as normal by scanning products or selecting prescriptions.

  3. Search Customers (optional)
    ​Selecting a customer helps auto-fill their contact details and link the sale to their profile. If prescriptions are selected, the customer is auto-filled.
    ​

  4. Click Finish

    To proceed to the Payment Menu
    ​

  5. Select the Scrypt Pay
    ​

  6. Enter customer details.

    • Mobile Number is required.

    • Customer Name and Notes can be added for context.

    • Details will pre-fill if a customer was selected earlier.​
      ​

  7. Send Payment Request

    Select OK to send the Scrypt.Pay request via SMS.
    ​

  8. Confirmation

    Z Register will confirm the request was sent and list it in the Remote Payments screen.

  1. Customer Receives SMS
    Message will include:
    ​<<YourPharmacyName>> has requested a payment. Please review and pay your order via the Scrypt Mobile app: scryp.co/download Your payment code is: XYXYXY
    ​

  2. Download the App

    If not already installed, instruct the customer to download the Scrypt Mobile app from the SMS link.


    ⚠️ Why use the app?
    The app ensures all remote payments are secure and verified, reducing the risk of fraud.
    ​

  3. Copy the Payment Code
    From the SMS, customers can tap the code to copy it.

  4. Open the App & Tap "Scrypt Pay"

    • Enter the payment code

    • Tap Validate Code
      ​

  5. Review Payment Details
    The invoice and payment amount will be shown.
    ​

  6. Enter Card Details & Confirm Payment

    • Tap Validate

    • Tap Confirm Pay
      ​

  7. Payment Confirmation & Receipt

    • Z Register will show the transaction as Completed

    • Customer can chose to email themselve an itemised receipt


🧾 Viewing Remote Payment Requests in Z Register

  1. Open Z Register and Sign In

  2. Click "Remote Payments" on the Sales Screen

    This screen displays all remote payment requests and their statuses.

    Available Actions:

    • VOID / CANCEL – Cancel a pending or completed payment.

      Note: Cancelling a completed payment requires voiding the entire sale. Refunds cannot be processed via Scrypt.Pay.
      ​

    • RE-PROCESS – Recreate a new sale from a voided payment.
      ​

    • RESEND – Resend the payment request. You can update the mobile number before sending.
      ​

    • SEARCH & FILTERS – Search by customer, date, or status.
      ​

    • DATE/TIME – Reflects the last action made on the payment (e.g. sent, cancelled, updated).
      ​

    • PAYMENT NOTES – Internal pharmacy notes only, not visible to the customer.
