Send a medication ready for collection message

Set up and send a custom message to let customers know their medication is ready to collect.

Overview

Medication ready for collection is a simple way to let customers know their medication has arrived or has been compounded and is ready to collect. You set up a reusable message template, then send it from the customer profile or as a bulk communication.

Benefits

  • Keeps a record: Every message is stored on the customer profile with a timestamp.

  • Preferred by customers: Most customers prefer an SMS for this type of notification.

  • Easy to use: Once set up, the message is quick to send.

Set up the custom message

  1. Log in to Scrypt HQ.

  2. Go to the Communications page.

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Open the Custom Messages tab.

  5. Click Create Custom Message.

  6. Enter a Template Name you will recognise, for example Medication ready for collection.

  7. Add a Subject Line if you plan to send this by email. This is optional.

  8. Write your message in the Content field.

  9. Click Submit.

Example message

Hi <<FirstName>>, your medication is now ready for collection at <<PharmacyName>>. If you have any questions, reply to this text or call us on <<PharmacyPhone>>. Thanks.

Send the message

When a medication is ready for the customer to collect:

  1. Open the customer profile.

  2. Under the customer's name, click Comms.

  3. Scroll down and select your Medication ready for collection message. This pre-fills the message body.

  4. Edit the message if needed. This is optional.

  5. Click Send Message Now.
