How does Open Banking work with Seapoint?
How does Open Banking work with Seapoint?
Seapoint uses Open Banking APIs, powered by our partner Yapily, to connect to your existing bank accounts. This lets you do two things:
View your banking data in Seapoint — account balances and transactions from your connected accounts appear alongside your Seapoint accounts, giving you a single view of your finances
Trigger payments from Seapoint — using the same Open Banking connection, you can initiate payments directly from your connected external accounts without leaving Seapoint
💡 Open Banking is a secure, regulated way to share financial data. Seapoint never stores your banking credentials — authorisation is handled directly between you and your bank.
Who is Yapily?
Who is Yapily?
Yapily is Seapoint's Open Banking provider. They are a regulated third-party provider authorised by the FCA, and they handle the secure connection between Seapoint and your bank. When you connect a bank account, you'll be redirected to your bank's own authentication flow via Yapily — your login credentials go directly to your bank and are never seen or stored by Seapoint.
