🏷️ White Label and Agency Settings Knowledge Base

What is White Labeling?

Overview:

White Labeling in Search Atlas allows agencies to present the platform entirely under their own branding. Clients access tools and reports through your custom domain and see only your agency's identity.

  • Branding applied: dashboard, reports, widgets, login pages

  • What changes: All Search Atlas logos, names, and support links are hidden

  • What stays the same: Core infrastructure and backend technology still run on Search Atlas

βš™οΈ Setup Requirements

To White Label your dashboard, you need:

  • A Search Atlas PRO subscription

  • Access to your domain DNS records

  • Agency branding assets (Logo, Sign-in Logo, Sign-up Logo, Favicon)

Billing note (Coming soon β€” pending QPB-690 release): A white-label subscription fee is applied as a separate line item on your Stripe subscription. This charge will appear distinctly on your billing invoice.

πŸ“Œ Setup instructions are available in Agency Hub > Agency Settings.

Setup steps:

  1. Navigate to Agency Hub > Agency Settings.

  2. Enter your white-label subdomain.

  3. Add the provided CNAME record to your DNS.

  4. Upload your Logo, Sign-in Logo, Sign-up Logo, and Favicon.

  5. Save and allow up to 1 hour for DNS propagation.

Changing your white-label domain after initial setup: The subdomain field is locked once configured. To request a change, contact support via live chat. Backend intervention is required and propagation may take 24–48 hours. Note: subdomains such as "portal" or "dashboard" may conflict with existing records on your domain and should be tested in DNS before requesting the change.

🚧 Functionality & Limitations

  • The clients interact with the platform as if your agency powers it.

  • Embedding tools (e.g., into HighLevel/GHL) is possible, but the backend remains Search Atlas. The client-facing UI will display your agency branding; however, data processing and infrastructure are operated by Search Atlas. This is invisible to your clients.

  • Agencies currently embedded in GHL can request migration to a native Search Atlas account. All projects and data can be transferred without service interruption β€” contact support to initiate this process.

  • Clients lose direct access to Search Atlas support and resources (agency handles support).

  • White Labeled training resources are not pre-provided β€” agencies can repurpose or create their own.

πŸ‘₯ Managing Clients & Accounts

Search Atlas offers three account types in White Label setup:

  • Child Account: A customer under your agency with their own White Labeled dashboard. When to use: Choose this when you want the client to have their own isolated dashboard fully under your agency's branding, with you managing their plan and quotas.

  • Team Member: Shares your subscription's dashboard and quotas. When to use: Choose this for internal staff or collaborators who should work inside your agency's own dashboard and consume your shared quota.

  • Referral: Independent subscription billed by Search Atlas. You earn 30% recurring commission. When to use: Choose this when the customer should be billed directly by Search Atlas and receive a Search Atlas-branded experience β€” these accounts sit outside your white-label environment.

πŸ› οΈ Support Rules

  • Agency Owners: Have full support access

  • Clients: Cannot contact Search Atlas support directly; all support requests must go through the agency owner.

  • Live Chat: Disabled on White Labeled dashboards. To use chat, log in at https://dashboard.searchatlas.com/

πŸ’³ Pricing & Billing

  • White Label setup: $399 per month for PRO users

  • Agency Starter clients: Free with limited quotas

  • Upgraded client plans: You are billed 70% of the subscription price (added to your invoice). You set your own pricing for clients.

  • Referrals: Search Atlas bills them directly. You earn 30% recurring commission via the Affiliate Program.

🐞 Troubleshooting

SSL Certificate Errors

  • You must install a valid SSL certificate covering your chosen subdomain.

  • Without SSL, clients may see browser warnings (though you can temporarily bypass them).

  • Install SSL via your hosting provider's admin panel.

Login Access

  • Even after White Labeling, you can always log in via the regular Search Atlas domain.

Child Account Permissions

  • Admin-level child accounts can see Pricing and Order Builder.

  • Otherwise, the parent controls visibility.
