Who this is for

This article is for Searcle customers who need to change content that is already live on their AI subdomain.

Use this guide when:

  • Product details, pricing, or messaging change

  • You spot an error or outdated statement

  • You want to improve clarity or wording

  • You need to adjust CTAs or positioning

You do not need technical or SEO experience to edit published content safely.

What this article helps you avoid

Editing live content can feel risky.

This article helps you:

  • Know what is safe to edit

  • Understand where edits happen

  • Avoid breaking links or publishing mistakes

  • Feel confident updating content as your business evolves

Where editing happens

All edits to live content happen in the Content Hub.

Specifically:

  • Open Content Hub

  • Go to Published content

Only content in the Published section is live on your AI subdomain and editable by you.

What you can safely edit

You can safely edit any user-facing content, including:

  • Headings and body text

  • Product descriptions and feature explanations

  • Pricing language or examples

  • Messaging and positioning

  • Calls to action (CTAs) and link text

Edits update the existing page, not a new one. URLs remain the same.

What you should not edit (unless instructed)

Some content is managed by Searcle and should not be edited unless support explicitly tells you to.

Do not edit:

  • Technical or system-managed files

  • Crawl, indexing, or discovery settings

If you’re unsure whether something is safe to edit:

  • If it’s visible text meant for readers → safe

  • If it looks technical or structural → leave it alone and contact support

How to edit published content (step by step)

Step 1: Open the published article

  • Go to Content Hub

  • Select Published

  • Click the article you want to update

Step 2: Make your edits

  • Click into the text you want to change

  • Edit wording, facts, or messaging as needed

Focus on accuracy and clarity, not formatting tricks.

Step 3: Save changes

  • Click Save

Your changes are stored immediately.

Step 4: Wait for updates to appear

  • Updates typically appear on live pages within ~24 hours

  • Timing can vary based on processing and caching

No further action is required.

Common edit scenarios

Scenario 1: Pricing update

Your pricing has changed.

What to do:

  • Edit all published articles that mention pricing

  • Update numbers, tiers, or examples

  • Save changes

Result:

  • Live pages update

  • Links and URLs remain intact

Scenario 2: Fixing incorrect wording

You notice a claim is unclear or inaccurate.

What to do:

  • Edit the sentence directly

  • Replace it with the correct wording

  • Save

Result:

  • The existing page is updated

  • No republishing or approval step is required

Scenario 3: Messaging or positioning change

Your positioning has shifted.

What to do:

  • Edit high-traffic or core articles first

  • Update messaging to reflect current direction

Result:

  • Content stays aligned with your business

  • Searcle continues maintaining structure and discoverability automatically

Timing and safety expectations

  • Edits are not irreversible, but there is no version rollback UI today

  • If you’re making large changes, consider copying text before editing

  • You can return and adjust content at any time

Rule of thumb:

  • It’s safer to update content than leave it outdated

How to confirm your edit worked

You’re done when:

  • The article shows updated text in Content Hub

  • The live page reflects changes after processing

  • Links still work and the page loads normally

If changes don’t appear after ~24 hours, contact support.

Troubleshooting

“I can’t edit the article”

  • Confirm it’s in Published content

  • Check that you have edit access

  • Contact support if editing is disabled

“My changes aren’t live yet”

  • Wait up to ~24 hours

  • Clear cache or check in an incognito window

“I’m afraid I’ll break something”

  • Editing visible text is safe

  • Structure and discoverability are handled automatically
