Buyer Guide: Sign up to Sellar Credit

How to get started with Sellar Credit

What do I need?

To ensure a smooth sign-up process to Sellar Credit, please check that you meet the following requirements:

  • A Company Director must complete the sign-up. They must have an account on Sellar to carry out the sign up process. Learn how to invite them.

  • Valid physical identification is required. This must be an in-date driver's license or passport—copies are not accepted.

  • A device with a camera is necessary. You'll need a webcam or smartphone camera to complete the identification verification process.

What if......

I'm a Group

You can still apply to Sellar Credit! but we will need to help you out. If you have more than one venue or limited company for example, your sign up will look a little different.

I'm a Sole Trader

You can still apply to Sellar Credit! but we will ask you slightly different questions.

You will additionally need to provide details on where you operate business and who you are for the sign up. However:

  • You will need all the the exact things to sign up as before

  • You won't be able to pre-check your Credit Limit as a Sole Trader before signing up.

Now I've got everything prepared how to do I get started and get closer to getting my Credit Limit?

Start by checking your Credit Limit

  1. Use the search box to look for your company. Choose the right one from the list.

  2. Tick to confirm the company and that you would like to check the Sellar Credit eligibility for it.

  3. Click to reveal your Credit Limit. (This doesn't affect your credit score)

  4. If you are happy to sign up use Claim your Credit to get started.

If you are a Sole Trader HOKODO can't give you an indication of your Credit Limit until you provide all your details. But you can still apply for Sellar Credit!

Continue to sign up with HOKODO

  1. Firstly we will run through some checks on our side to make sure we have the right person and right information to sign you up for Sellar Credit:

    1. We will first check if you are the Director of your Company if you are a Limited Company (if you aren't you can click that option and send them a link to their email to continue from here.).

    2. We will tell you what you need to continue with the sign up. Make sure you have everything to hand before you continue.

    3. Confirm the Sellar account you are currently using and wish to link the verification to (you must use this email address when signing up for HOKODO).

  2. We will now transfer you over to HOKODO to create your account:

    1. Enter your email address (the same as your Sellar account) and password to use to login to HOKODO. This will give you access to their dashboard to see upcoming payments and change payment details. Use next to continue.

    2. Next, verify your email by clicking the link in the email sent you. This will continue your sign up.

    3. Enter your full name and phone number.

    4. If you are a Limited Company. Search again for your company. Starting with the Company Type, then using the search box to find and select it.

    5. If you are a Sole Trader. Select that you are a Sole Trader. This will reveal fields to fill information on where you operated business and who you are. Fill this out to continue.

  3. Choose how you want to pay your Sellar Credit invoice. You can either choose a direct debit or a bank transfer:

    1. To set up a direct debit, enter the account holder's name, sort code and account number of the payment account. The payment will be taken automatically from this account.

    2. To pay by bank transfer select this option. A statement will be emailed over to make a payment.

  4. Lastly, you will need to verify your identity. HOKODO will take you to their third-party identity checking service. Follow the instructions on screen. (You will need a device with a camera or webcam to complete this)

  5. You now have a HOKODO account and you are ready to finish the setup. Click to return to Sellar.

    1. When you are back in Sellar we will need to go through some settings before you continue. (These can be changed at any time)

    2. First, select which venues you wish to share your Credit Limit across. Tick one or more and confirm that you are the owner. If you do not have more than one venue you can skip this step.

    3. Lastly select which users can use Sellar Credit by ticking and unticking them in the list.

    4. Use complete to finish the sign up.
