Before you start, you don’t need to set up a direct integration between Sellar and Xero if:

  • You have integrated Sellar with Breww or BrewMan

  • Xero is connected to Breww or BrewMan

Orders from Sellar will flow in the chain: Sellar β†’ Breww/BrewMan β†’ Xero.

If you over-integrate, you will create duplicate invoices in Xero.

Set up Integration

The first step is to choose and connect an Xero Organisation.

  1. Go to your integrations page in Sellar. This can be found by clicking your name in the top left of Sellar and then Integrations.

  2. Use the 'Configure' button next to Xero to get started.

  3. Click the 'Connect' button, which will open Xero in a new tab. This may ask you to sign in to Xero, if you aren't already.

  4. Choose an organisation to link to Sellar from the drop-down list and click 'Allow Access' to finish.

If you would like to change which organisation Sellar is connected to, click the 'disconnect' button and repeat the steps above.

The Integration Settings

These settings will decide how Sellar integrates with Xero.

Updating Xero Contact information

When we send an order to Xero to create an invoice, you have the option to choose if Sellar updates the Contact's information in Sellar. If, for example, the address has changed, we will update it.

Yes - We update your existing contacts in Xero when we send an order across.

No - We do not update your contacts in Xero.

How we handle Stripe Card payments

When we send an order to Xero, where a customer has opted to pay by card using Stripe. You have two options for how this lands in Xero:

Yes - The invoice is created as paid, linking the Stripe card payment to it.

No - The invoice is created in draft (like a proforma or BACS invoice). You will need to manually reconcile the Stripe card payment against this.
