Managing users on your account

You can manage the users that have access to your business on Sellar. Each user will have access to your business account using their individual email address and password. They will also have their own profile picture, job title and notification settings (see Updating your user profile and Managing your notification preferences).

There is currently no support for managing user permissions, but this will likely be added in the future.

  1. Go to your Settings > Business Details from the sidebar

  2. Click + Add User and type in the user's email address you want to add to your business account.

  3. Your colleague will receive an email invitation to set up their account.

    Note: Make sure the invited user is not already signed into any other Sellar account when they click Sign Up, otherwise they will automatically be logged in with the existing account.

  4. The invited user should click Sign Up on the link in the email and then enter the email address that was invited to Sellar.

  5. The invited user will then receive an email link, that verifies their email and invites them to create their account. This will now be linked to your business account on Sellar. Once the details below are filled out, the user will be taken into their account!


Updating your user profile

You can upload a profile picture and add a job title so it's clear who is talking to when you or someone else from your team responds to messages or order comments. You can also update your name and phone number.

  1. Go to Settings > Your Account from the sidebar

  2. Click the ✏️ pencil icon next to the field you want to edit or click Upload File to add a Profile Image.


Updating your business details

You can update your Trading Name, Business and Invoice Emails, Phone Number, Addresses, VAT, AWRS and Company Numbers, Website and Social handles (Instagram and Twitter).

  1. Go to your Settings > Business Details from the sidebar

  2. Make the required changes in the relevant fields.

  3. Scroll down and hit Save.


Managing your notification preferences

You can receive both Email and Push notifications from Sellar for the following events:

  • Connections πŸ”—

  • Messages βœ‰οΈ

  • Orders πŸ›’

All email notifications will be sent to your Business Email. Each user can adjust their email notification preferences by event.

Setting preferences

  1. Go to Settings > Your Account from the sidebar

  2. Click Notifications

  3. Enable or disable the notification type for each event

Enabling push notifications

Push notifications must be enabled on each device you would like to receive them on. You can view approved devices and add your current devices.

  1. Go to Settings > Your Account from the sidebar

  2. Click Notifications

  3. Hit πŸ”” Turn on notifications

  4. Follow the instructions given by your device to allow notifications
