The details that you provide for a product will be displayed to customers and also impact the way it can be found on the Sellar Market.

  • Name - The name of your product that you want to display to your customers.

    • For example - “Berry Sour”

  • Kind - This is the style of product that will be displayed alongside your product name.

    • For example - “Sour Beer”

  • ABV - This is the alcohol by volume percentage of the product.

    • For example - “4%”

  • Description - This should accurately describe the style of the product and what makes it special.

Product media

These images showcase your products so they can be easily recognised by existing customers as well as attract the attention of new customers. You can add a Product badge and up to four Hero images to each product.

Product badge

Recommendations:

  • Use an image with a 1:1 ratio

  • Image size of at least 200 x 200 px

  • Centre content including text as your image will be cropped into a circle

  • Upload a .png or .jpg file up to 5MB.

  • Preview how your image will appear using our logo template in Canva. Demo here.

Hero images

We've made it simple for buyers to explore any additional images you upload throughout the app. On the Sellar Market, desktop and laptop users can easily view your product images by hovering their cursor over your listing. An auto-play carousel will cycle through each image for a few seconds, giving buyers an effortless browsing experience. Product hero images are the largest amount of real estate on Sellar Market, especially when you upload a new product.

  • The primary hero image is the main image shown for each product. We recommend using a close-up picture showing the product.

  • Images are displayed in the order you upload them, with the left-most image serving as the primary hero image that appears first across the platform.

  • For additional hero images, you could include the different packaging formats available and a photo of a great pour!

Recommendations:

  • Use a landscape image with a 16:9 ratio

  • Image size of at least 1920 x 1080 px

  • Leave 10% padding around the edge of the image

  • Centre content including text in a 1:1 area in the centre for the best cropping results in all views across Sellar

  • Upload a .png or .jpg file up to 5MB.

  • Preview how your image will appear using our hero image template in Canva. Demo here.

Choosing the Right Images for Maximum Impact

How you present your brand and products is entirely your choice. However, through numerous conversations with trade buyers, we've identified several practical ways additional images can make an impact. Buyers often want to see:

  • The product artwork to understand how it will look on their own website or in marketing materials.

  • The packaging—such as cans—to get a sense of how it will appear in fridges at their venue.

  • The product when poured into a glass. Is it cloudy or clear? What colour is it? Will this resonate with their customers?

  • A visual representation of taste and texture, using abstract images to convey the flavour profile.

We also recommend showcasing your product in each packaging format—whether it’s a can, bottle, or keg—to provide a complete picture of your offering.

Top Tips

  • If you don't have any hero images, leave them blank - we will create a good-looking banner from your Product badge for you. For example:

Left: no Hero image uploaded so we have used the Product badge

    Right: Hero image uploaded

  • Go to app.sellar.io/discover to see how other people's products appear on the market (you may need to sign out of a supplier account or use a private browser)
