We often get asked how to list products as on sale or highlight a short date and therefore a reduced price. Also, how to draw attention to these products and drive sales with both existing customers and the wider Sellar Market.

Here’s how to do it:

1) Create a new product for the one you want to put on sale

For example, if you already have a Berry Sour setup in your availability list on Sellar, you would create a new product called “Berry Sour (10% OFF)”.

When creating your sale product:

  • Use the same images and details as the original product.

  • Add sale information to the product name, for example "(10% OFF)"

  • You may want to add information about why the product is on sale to the description. For example, “Short-dated stock, BBE: 30/01/24”.

  • The prices for should be the discounted price.

2) Configure the layout of your availability list to highlight sale products

You can draw attention to sale products by grouping them and putting them at the top of your availability list.

For guidance on how to add a new product group and rearrange them on your Storefront, check out this guide.

3) Add a banner to your Storefront for extra visibility

You can also add a banner at the top of your Storefront to notify customers of your sale.

💡 Any ‘new’ products added to Sellar will automatically appear in the “New Releases” feed on the Sellar Market, so this will help to gain extra exposure from a wider network of customers too!
