Linking Overview

Linking allows data to flow from Products in Sellbrite out to your Listings, and vice versa, so that your channels are updated with the current inventory quantities and other essential information.

One Product in Sellbrite can be linked to multiple listings across multiple sales channels.

For example, your Product with SKU "TEE123-GR" is linked to live listings on Amazon, eBay and Shopify. If one of these products sells on Shopify, Sellbrite will update the inventory quantities on Amazon and eBay.

But it's even more than that - linking Listings to their source Products in Sellbrite allows Sellbrite to know which of your products are currently selling on which channels.

The link helps keep track of where all your Products are selling, or not selling, so you can quickly identify where you are missing out on potential orders.

NOTE: Listings must be linked to products in order for Inventory Sync to work properly.

At the end of the day, the goal is to ensure that all of your listings are linked to products. This will enable Sellbrite to do what it needs to do.

So, How Do I Link my Listings to Products?

There are 2 ways to link in Sellbrite:

  1. Automatically via a Listing Import

  2. Manually link one-by-one

Auto-Link with a Listing Import (Recommended)

If your SKUs match across all of your sales channels, this is the fastest way to get all of your listings linked to products.

How to Run a Listing Import

When running a Listing Import from your sales channels, Sellbrite asks if you want to automatically build products. Auto-Build means that Sellbrite will pull the Product information (images, title, description, etc.) from your Listings and use that information to Build Products in Sellbrite. Note: Some channels don't provide the Auto-Build option.

Auto-Build will also retrieve your Listing's SKUs which will automatically link your Listings to the newly built Products. In other words, enabling this will ensure that your listings are linked.

If you have already used a CSV file to build your product catalog, or have previously built products from another Listing Import, select the "No" option.

Note: If the SKUs in your listings are not consistent with the SKUs already in your Products Catalog, your Listings will remain unlinked and you will need to link them manually.

Link Listings to Products Manually

If your SKU numbers don't match across your channels, or a Listing is missing a SKU, you'll need to link each Listing to its Product in Sellbrite manually.

To link a Listing to a Product, check your Dashboard. This will show you which channels you have Unlinked Listings on. Click on the channel, and hover over the red "Unlinked" icon on the left of the title.

Inside the listing details page, an unlinked listing will show a yellow warning that it is not linked to a product. It will also show a red "unlinked" icon.

To link the Listing to a Product, click "Find & Link Product". Search in the popup window for the Product that corresponds to this Listing. You can enter the SKU or the name of the product. The SKU will be searched automatically.

Click "Select", and the listing will be linked to that Product.

If the Product is not found immediately, you can revise your search in the search box, and Sellbrite will automatically search again. Once you click "Select," your product and listing will be linked and the chain link icon will change:

If you find your Listing linked to the wrong Product, just click "(unlink)" to remove the link, and then repeat the process above.

Linking FAQ

Q: What happens if I don't have SKUs?

A: If you have any listings don't have SKU numbers and didn't automatically link upon import, they'll need to be linked manually to the products in Sellbrite. One way to avoid this scenario is to add your SKUs to your listings prior to running the listing import.

Q: What do I do if my SKUs don't match across my channels?

A: If the SKU numbers don't match, then Sellbrite will not be able to detect that they're the same item and link them. In this case, these listings will also need to be manually linked to the products that have different SKU numbers. One way to avoid this scenario is to update the SKU numbers of the channels that allow you to do so, so that they match the product SKUs in Sellbrite.
