Uploading your CoGS into Seller Metrix will give you a more accurate profit calculation and is probably the first thing you will want to do after accessing your Seller Metrix account. To get started go to the "Products Section" by selecting the menu in the top left corner in Seller Metrix.
There are 3 parameters that you can set:
Cost of Goods
This is the production cost of the product.Inbound Shipping
This is the cost of shipping the product from your factory/supplier to your own warehouse, or to Amazon if you do FBA.FBM Shipping
If you are shipping the product from your own warehouse, this is the estimated fulfillment and shipping cost per unit from your warehouse to the customer. If you buy shipping from Amazon, you can ignore this field as Seller Metrix can retrieve the cost from Amazon.
Bulk Uploading CoGS
If you only have a few products selling on Amazon, you can manually set your CoGS. But if you have a lot of products, it will probably be faster to bulk upload the CoGS with a CSV file. You can download a template of your products by clicking the button "Your Template".
If you are having uncommon characters in your SKU, it can break the CSV file. If you are experiencing this issue, please see our guide here.
The following fields are required to upload your CSV File: ASIN, SKU, Currency, Marketplace.
We can handle most common currencies, just input the 3 letter abbreviation. Below are a few of the most common:
