How are my items priced?

Sellpy prices items based on their estimated second hand value. As a seller you can adjust the prices for your items via your Sellpy profile

Updated this week

The pricing of your items is done automatically by Sellpy and is based on our previous sales of similar items. When the ad is ready to be published, you will find Sellpy’s suggested pricing. You have the possibility to change the price yourself.. All items for sale at Sellpy follow a sales schedule. Within a certain time frame the price will decrease until sold or the value is under 3.5€* and then be donated.

How is the price calculated for item on sale?

The price of items sold through Sellpy is calculated automatically using our system, which is based on millions of previous sales. If we have sold identical or similar items before – for example, with the same brand, category, size, and condition – we use that information to estimate the item’s value. This way, each item receives the fairest and most competitive second-hand price possible right from the start.

How does the sales schedule work?

All items at Sellpy follow an individual sales schedule, which aim to maximize the sales value. The pricing therefore will change over time if the item doesn't get sold. In your Sellpy profile, you can see the specific sales schedule for each individual item and when the pricing will change next.

Can I change the pricing of my items?

Yes, you can adjust the price when the listing is ready to be published. At that stage, you’ll see our suggested price and can change it before the item goes live. You can also freely change the price during the first 14 days.

If you want to adjust the price after that, you can purchase an extended pricing period through your Sellpy profile. It costs from 1,49 eur* and gives you continued control over pricing during the selected period.
