How are my items priced?

Sellpy prices items based on their estimated second hand value. As a seller you can adjust the prices for your items via your Sellpy profile

The pricing of your items is done automatically by Sellpy and is based on our previous sales of similar items. When the ad is ready to be published, you will find Sellpy’s suggested pricing. You have the possibility to change the price yourself.. All items for sale at Sellpy follow a sales schedule. Within a certain time frame the price will decrease until sold or the value is under 3€* and then be donated.

How is the price calculated?

Sellpy uses an algorithm to calculate the starting price for your items. The automatic price is based on the history of our previous sales of the same or similar items. Our automatic pricing is aiming to estimate the second hand market value for each item. The pricing is based on all the information we have about your item - such as the brand, the type of item, the current condition etc.

How does the sales schedule work?

All items at Sellpy follow an individual sales schedule, which aim to maximize the sales value. The pricing therefore will change over time if the item doesn't get sold. In your Sellpy profile, you can see the specific sales schedule for each individual item and when the pricing will change next.

Can I change the pricing of my items?

If you want to change the price again after 14 days, you can choose to buy an extended pricing period. The extended pricing period is available on the item’s page on your Sellpy profile. Pricing starts at 1.49€*, and is dependent on the length of the extension. The item’s price can be changed at any time during the period. you're in control of the pricing.
