Sellpy was founded to enable everyone to live circularly. The easiest way to reduce emissions is to make better use of what already exists. Our own emissions are far less than our savings today. Nevertheless, we want to continue to reduce our ecological footprint and we take sustainability into account in all parts of our company.

Sellpy's goal is to give pre-loved items a second life and keep them in circulation for longer. Items that cannot be sold are donated to Unicef, UdO, Myrorna and Stockholm Stadsmissionen. There, the items are reused according to their condition. In cases where items cannot be donated or reused, they are instead downcycled by I:CO.

Our attitude is - anything that can be fixed, gets fixed. Anything that can be used for more than one purpose lives for a long time in our organisation. Therefore, the purchasing guideline “Sellpy first” applies to us. This means that we buy used items from Sellpy or other secondhand platforms rather than newly produced ones. This applies, for example, to our computers, computer screens and work clothing.
