How do Sellpy collaborate with recycling and donation partners?

Items that aren’t sold are either donated to charity or sent to our recycling partners

Updated over a month ago

At Sellpy we make sure that no resources go to waste. At this site you can read more about our donation partners Myrorna, Stockholms Stadsmission and Unicef in association with Ubrania Do Oddania – and our recycling partners I:CO and Remondis.

Myrorna

Myrorna's goal is to contribute to a more sustainable world by inspiring people to reuse items. The organisation contributes to research on recycling and reuse in Sweden.

Stockholms Stadsmission

Stockholms Stadsmission works for a more humane society through social care, work integration and education. The goal is to promote participation regardless of finances and background and to prevent exclusion. Some of the clothes they receive are sent to Remake Textile Production, Stockholm Stadsmission's own brand for fashion and design.

Ubrania Do Oddania and Unicef

Ubrania Do Oddania redefines the concept of second-hand on the textile market, proving that circularity is attractive and profitable. Besides collecting clothes and accessories, they run second-hand stores in multiple cities around Poland. Thanks to our partnership with Ubrania Do Oddania, a share per kilo of collected items is donated to Unicef and will be used to help children in Ukraine.

I:CO and Remondis

Items sorted out due to low value or defect will be sent to our recycling partners I:CO and Remondis. In exchange for the items and fabric, we receive a small fee per kilo to cover parts of our administration costs. The items are further sorted according to the EU waste hierarchy, meaning they can be reused or recycled. Recycled items are typically shredded into textile fibres for isolation or stuffing.
