You can withdraw the money in your pillar 3a account as early as 5 years before your retirement and as late as when you are 70 years old if you’re still working. However, when you retire, you have to have the money in your pillar 3a account paid out.

To process your pillar 3a withdrawal, our partner VZ requires a specific form.

Please follow these steps to pay out your 3a account for your retirement:

  1. Download this document (only available in German), fill it out, print it and sign it by hand.

  2. Add the mentioned attachment "official proof of marital status" (in German: amtlicher Zivilstandsnachweis) issued within 3 months of the current date. Please contact the “Zivilstandsamt” to get this document.

  3. Send the documents (the form needs to be original, the proof of marital status can be a copy) to the following address:

    VZ Vorsorgestiftung 3a

    Stiftungsadministration / TAS

    Gotthardstrasse 6

    8002 Zürich

As soon as VZ has received the documents, you will receive a confirmation from us.
