HawkSoft Integration

Keep your HawkSoft and Sembley accounts in sync

Written by Jeremy Peskin

Our integration with HawkSoft enables you to import your commercial insureds and their essential data from HawkSoft into Sembley, keep your accounts up-to-date with ongoing daily syncs and export data, forms and signed documents back from Sembley to HawkSoft.

Limits on Data Shared

Our HawkSoft integration shares the core commercial client details that Sembley needs to keep your submissions and renewals aligned with HawkSoft. However, this integration is not a full data migration tool.

Certain fields in HawkSoft have no direct one-to-one match in Sembley—or vice versa—so we focus on bringing over the most essential data points to ensure a consistent experience in both platforms.

View our Data Sharing Documentation for a complete overview of what is and isn’t imported.

Enable the Integration in HawkSoft

The first step is to enable the Sembley integration from within the HawkSoft marketplace.

To navigate to the marketplace, click on the cog icon in the top right of your HawkSoft app and click Marketplace. Then locate Sembley and enable “Data Sharing”, which will reveal your Agency ID to Sembley’s API credentials.

Activating Your Integration in Sembley

To activate the HawkSoft integration in Sembley:

  1. Head over to Sembley’s integrations page

  2. Locate the HawkSoft card and click on the "Activate" button. 🔗

    1. In order to locate this, see the step above to enable “Data Sharing” in HawkSoft’s Marketplace for Sembley

Exporting Records

You can export insureds and their records (e.g. Vehicles, Drivers, Premises, etc.) from Sembley into HawkSoft using HawkSoft's Importer tool. Review our Data Sharing Documentation for a complete list of data that can be imported from Sembley into HawkSoft.

To get started, click on the HawkSoft icon next to the name of any Insured. This icon appears when your HawkSoft integration is active. If you don't see it, confirm that you have activated your integration.

When you click the HawkSoft export button, you'll see a list of record types that you can export. You can choose to export all or only the ones that you need.

The dialog adapts to whether the insured is a person or a company. Skip to the section that applies.

Exporting a commercial insured

Pick a Line of Business from the dropdown. The list contains the fifteen CPKGE codes HawkSoft accepts — PROP (Commercial Property), AUTOB (Business Automobile), TRKRS (Truckers), GARAG (Garage And Dealers), CGL (General Liability), WORK (Workers' Compensation), and others.

Selection is required; clicking Export without one turns the dropdown red.

Which record panels you can use depends on the line:

  • Policies and Premises are available for any line.

  • Vehicles and Drivers are available only with AUTOB, TRKRS, or GARAG. Disabled for every other line.

The title checkbox in each panel selects all rows; a dash means some rows are selected.

Click Export to download:

  1. A CMSMTF file with the insured, the policy, and any vehicles or drivers the line accepts.

  2. A Premises CSV file, generated only when at least one Premises row is selected.

Double-click the CMSMTF. HawkSoft's Importer opens and creates the insured, the policy, and any inline records.

If the export also produced a Premises CSV, load it from inside the Importer after the CMSMTF has imported, using HawkSoft's buildings import action.

Exporting a personal insured

Pick a Policy Line — HOME (creates a Homeowners policy) or AUTO (creates a Personal Auto policy).

Which record panels you can use depends on the line:

  • HOME: Policies and Premises. Only one Premises row can be included — it becomes the home location.

  • AUTO: Policies, Vehicles, and Drivers.

The title checkbox in each panel selects all rows; a dash means some rows are selected.

Click Export to download a single CMSMTF file containing the insured, the policy, and the selected records. For HOME, the chosen premises is embedded in the same file.

Double-click the CMSMTF. HawkSoft's Importer opens and creates the insured, the policy, and the records.

Exporting Forms

You can send your completed forms back into HawkSoft as attachments to logs in the customer profile within HawkSoft. To do this, within a submission, click on the more actions icon in the top right corner and click the "Send to HawkSoft" button.

You can select which forms you want to send over as well as the policy that you want to associate the forms with (this is optional).

Send Signed Documents to HawkSoft

Our HawkSoft integration works with Sembley Sign, so you can request signatures from clients and then send the signed packet over to HawkSoft without leaving Sembley.

In order to send a signed Signature Packet from Sembley to AMS360:

  • Navigate to your Signature Packets page

  • Locate the signature packet that you want to send to HawkSoft

  • Click on the three vertical dots on the far right for more options

  • Click "Send to HawkSoft"
