Overview
E-sign templates allow you to convert your frequently-used client documents into reusable templates that can be sent for signature multiple times without having to recreate or remap them each time. This feature streamlines your signature collection process and saves time when working with standardized documents.
Key Benefits
Creating e-sign templates provides several advantages for your workflow. You can save time on repetitive tasks by reusing approved document templates, maintain consistency across all client communications, reduce errors from manually recreating documents, and scale your signature collection process as your business grows.
Getting Started
To begin creating e-sign templates, navigate to the Sign section in your Sembley sidebar, then click on the Templates tab at the top of the page. This is where all your signature templates are managed.
Creating Your First Template
Follow these steps to create an e-sign template from your client document:
Prepare your document — Start with a client document that you regularly use for signatures, such as a contract, agreement, or form.
Access the Templates section — From your Sembley sidebar, click Sign, then select the Templates tab.
Upload or select your document — Upload your existing document that will serve as the template base.
Define signature fields — Mark all locations where signatures are required so clients know exactly where to sign.
Set up template parameters — Configure any dynamic fields that might change between uses, such as dates, names, or specific terms.
Save your template — Once configured, save the template to your library where it will be available for repeated use.
Using Your Templates
Once you have created your templates, select the appropriate template when you need to send a document for signature. Any pre-configured signature fields will automatically be ready for the recipient. You can send the template to your client with a single action instead of preparing a new document each time, and track all signature requests and completions from your dashboard.
