The ACORD Form Import feature allows you to import all data from a completed fillable ACORD form into Sembley. This is particularly useful for:
Preparing new submissions.
Handling renewals for clients whose information isn’t already in Sembley.
By uploading an existing ACORD form, you can have all the relevant information automatically populated into Sembley, facilitating a smoother and faster workflow.
Note: It's important to note that this feature only works with official, fillable ACORD forms.
How to Use the ACORD Form Import Feature
Follow these steps to use the ACORD Form Import feature:
Create a New Submission
Start by creating a new submission within Sembley. If you are working with a new client, create a new insured.
Upload the ACORD Form
From the Documents tab in any submission, upload your ACORD.
Once your ACORD is uploaded, Sembley will suggest some basic data that you can import from your ACORD into your submission. Click import to proceed.
Do an ACORD-to-ACORD Import
With ACORDs, we can import even more data than we do with our general Document AI feature by letting your specify exactly which ACORD you want to import your client's ACORD into.
Hover over your ACORD in the documents table and click the three dots icon on the far right. Then click "ACORD Import".
Clicking this button will open a modal with a field to select which ACORD you want to import the data into. In addition to importing the data into your selected form, Sembley will also add the imported information to the questions in your Submission's intake.
When to Use This Feature
For Renewals: If you’re working on a renewal for a client and their information isn’t already stored in Sembley, simply upload their prior ACORD form. The data will be imported into Sembley, saving you from manually re-entering the information.
For New Clients: When onboarding a new client, you can use their existing ACORD forms to quickly populate their information into Sembley, ensuring a quick and accurate setup.
