Managing project members & roles

Learn how to invite/remove members, assign roles, and organise user groups.

Note: Only Members with the project role "Admin" or higher can manage members and groups.

Inviting new users to your project

  1. Navigate to the People page

  2. On the Members tab, click "Invite" in the top corner

  3. Type or paste a list of the user emails you want to invite to the project

  4. Click "Invite"

  5. Users will receive an invite email, which they can use to access the project

    Note: By default, all users will have the "Project Member" role. Follow the steps below to update this

Setting project roles

  1. Navigate to the Member tab of the People page

  2. Open the "Role" drop-down next to the member you'd like to update

  3. Select the role the member should have on the project

Adding members to user groups

  1. Once you have invited a new member, you can add them to a user group

  2. On the People page, change to the Groups tab

  3. Open the three-dot menu for the group you want to add someone to

  4. Click "Update group"

  5. Search for the member you would like to add and select them

  6. Click "Done", and the member will now be part of this group. Repeat for all the groups that they should be part of

    Note: adding someone to a group will give them access to all the content and workspaces that the group has access to

Deleting members from your project

  1. Navigate to the Member tab of the People page

  2. Open the three-dot menu for the user you would like to delete

  3. Click "Delete"

  4. Click "Delete" on the warning modal

  5. This member will no longer have access to the project. They will be removed from all user groups, content and workspaces
