How to recentre your view, orientate yourself North and achieve a top-down view in 3D

Recentre or Reset your view

You can return your saved workspace Default view at any time.

If you haven’t set one up yet, see here for instructions.

  1. While in a workspace, click the arrow icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Choose one of the following options:

    1. Recentre view

      • Applies your saved Default view camera angle only.

      • Your current layer settings stay the same.

    2. Reset view
      Fully restores your saved Default view, including:

      • Camera angle

      • Layer visibility settings


Orient your view to North

To quickly orient your view to face North, just click the compass:


Top-Down view in 3D

To quickly switch to a top-down view in the 3D environment, just press the ‘t’ key on your keyboard.
