Resolution

Your organization slug is the unique, lowercase identifier for your Sentry organization. It can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens. It’s different from your organization’s display name.

You can find your organization slug in either of these places:

  1. In the URL - When you’re signed in, your slug is the subdomain.
For example, https://acme.sentry.io → the slug is acme.

  2. In settings - Go to Organization Settings → General Settings → Organization Slug.

The CLI and many API paths use your organization slug. For example, you can set it as the SENTRY_ORG environment variable.

Want to change your slug? See Can I update my Sentry Organization slug?. For naming rules and details on what changes when you rename it, see Sentry URL and Org Slug Changes.
