Weāve added a new feature that allows you to send payments to anyone, even if they havenāt signed up for our app yet. Previously, payments could only be sent between other customers.
Inviting a friend with a payment saves you some time - rather than waiting for your friend to join Sentz app, you can send the payment directly to their phone number. Once they sign up, the payment is reflected in their balance.
Hereās how it works!
Alice and Bob are two friends.
Alice has $100 in her wallet but Bob doesnāt have a wallet yet.
Alice sends $20 to Bobās phone number along with an invite to our app.
When Bob activates our app, $20 is waiting for him in Bobās wallet.
We think this is pretty neat, but one of the coolest parts that isnāt obvious is that all of this happens without us ever having custody of your funds. Custody is when a regulated financial institution holds your money for you. With Sentz self-custodial wallet, you are always in control of your money.
