Which pages do you not need to actively optimise keywords on?

There are a few types of pages that you don’t need to worry about actively optimising keywords on. These are the ones you can leave out of your sitemap (this should save you a lot of time too!)

1.Blog Page:

Not to be confused with your individual blog posts! You don’t need to optimise the page that holds all of your blog posts, as choosing keywords that cover the content of all your blog posts would be very difficult.

2. Terms and Conditions Page:

The main purpose of this page is to build trust with visitors and for regulatory compliance, so it isn’t necessary to assign keywords here.

3. Contact Us Page:

The Contact Us page makes it easier for customers to get in touch with you. The intent of people searching for your chosen keywords will likely not fit with the purpose of a Contact Us Page.

4. About Us Page:

The About Us page provides information about your organisation, history, values, and your team. While it’s an important page, it’s not usually the entry point for clients and website visitors. The goal of the About Us page isn’t to drive organic traffic to your website, so you don’t need to worry about keyword optimisation.
