Account Balances & History

Keeping track of your balances and activity is simple in Sequence.

Here’s how it all works.

How accurate are balances?

For external accounts, balances are refreshed by our data providers every 24 hours.

We also automatically refresh balances right before any date-based rule runs, so your automations always operate with the most up-to-date numbers.

Want the latest snapshot on demand?

Click into any external account and select “Refresh all account balances” in the top-right corner.

For Sequence accounts, balances update in real time.

Viewing account balances

In the money map view, each account shows its available balance - the amount you can access or withdraw right now.

Click into an account to also see the current balance, which includes pending deposits or invested funds that may not be immediately available.

By showing both, Sequence gives you a clear picture of:

  • What’s ready to use today

  • What’s held in total

Where to view balances & history

You have three ways to explore your balances and activity:

Transfer history

Shows all transfers Sequence has executed to or from this account.

  • To view: click on the account in your map — transfer history appears at the bottom of the panel.

Transaction history

Shows every transaction involving this account, including ones made outside Sequence — similar to your bank’s own transaction feed.

  • To view: click into the account panel, then select “View account transactions” right beneath the routing/account numbers.

Full Activity Log

Your complete, filterable view of all transfers and transactions across every account in Sequence.

  • To view: click the icon with two arrows pointing in opposite directions on the left-hand sidebar (second option from the top).
