API Documentation

Written by Ari Schlacht

Our full API documentation lives on our developer docs site, where it stays up to date with every release.

Whether you're calling the API directly or connecting an AI agent through MCP, our developer docs cover everything you need: authentication with scoped API keys, endpoints, request and response examples, error handling, and step-by-step guides to get your first call working.

Read the official API docs (https://api.getsequence.io/platform/)

Already using the legacy API? It's not deprecated and your existing keys still work, so nothing changes on your end. The Platform API is the newer path, and whenever you're ready the docs walk you through it.

If you run into trouble or have a question the docs don't answer, reach out to our team and we'll help you get unblocked.

Agent-initiated transfers can require your approval before they send. See Approving agent-initiated transfers.

Want to connect a specific agent? See Connecting AI agents to Sequence.

Want events pushed to your app instead of polling for them? See Webhooks: getting events pushed to your app.

Want to read your card and external transaction history? See Reading card and external transactions from the API.
