What are Rewards?

Rewards are bonus treasures that fans who buy your Digital Pressings are able to ‘unlock’ with purchase.

Rewards give you a never-before-experienced freedom to craft a packaged, multimedia narrative that encapsulates the feeling/message/themes/stories behind your release.

What can I include as bonus content in my Digital Pressing?

If you’re not interested in chart accreditation for your release, you’re free to include anything you like as bonus content as long as it complies with Serenade’s file type and size restrictions. You can find these both in our intuitive upload flow, as well as in our article How do I create Digital Pressings?

We suggest combining 2-3 content types for a simple but more active and participatory experience of your music.

How does chart accreditation affect the types of bonus content I can include?

Serenade works closely with the chart bodies in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand to offer chart eligible Digital Pressings.

We’re actively working to develop standards that respect each organisation’s eligibility criteria.

Find below a list of bonus material that generally respects the chart rules of the territories we currently serve.

PLEASE NOTE:

The following information should only be used as a guide, and all releases should be checked by your local chart body for eligibility.

Singles

If you're releasing a single or single bundle (ie. EP), you are NOT allowed any bonus material or unlockable rewards if you'd like to be accredited in the UK or Ireland.

For more info, please refer to the OCCs single rules HERE.

For releases in Australia and New Zealand, simple descriptive material is allowed within reason.

To give you an idea of what (likely) is and (definitely) isn't eligible across all geographies (UK, Ire, Aus & NZ), refer to the table below.

A good rule of thumb is: if this piece of content helps tell a deeper story about the music and doesn’t have a clear market value, it’s likely to be eligible.

At what point does a Serenade Digital Pressing sale count towards the charts.

Basically, it’s just like any other music format. The charts only count sales once they’ve been fulfilled. Traditionally, this meant the delivery of a physical asset or the active download of a digital one. With NFTs, the purchase is considered fulfilled once the NFT has been ‘minted’ (meaning the transaction is written to the blockchain) and delivered into the user’s wallet.

Because of this immediate fulfilment and the limited nature of the product causing quick sell-outs, we often suggest releasing your Digital Pressing for a small chart boost mid-way through Week 1.
