In order to create Digital Pressings on Serenade, you need to be accepted as an 'Approved Artist', which basically means that we've had a chance to get to know you and we have capacity to develop a project with you.

How do I become an approved artist?

First you need to Sign-Up to express interest. That parts simple!

When signing up your account on Serenade, choose the option ‘I am an ARTIST'.

You will be directed to an application page that gives you a bit more information on who we are and what we do.

Click ‘Apply Now’, fill out the application form with your details and then verify your email… and that’s it!

Serenade will review your application and notify you via email whether your application has been accepted or not.

So what is Serenade's criteria for accepting artist applications?

There are some general data points we use to assess artist requests;

  1. # of tracks and listenership on Spotify

  2. Significant followership across social media/community platforms

  3. Maximum 200 words on why you want to release a Digital Pressing and what they and direct-to-fan experiences mean to you

Please note that these metrics are only rough guides for Serenade to get a feel for you and your music and aspirations.

What we’re looking for is some evidence of a business around your music, a captive audience that has a proven history of purchasing your music and some understanding of how this new technology will help you achieve your objectives.

Why do I have to be accepted as an artist to use Serenade?

We’re bent on bringing curation back to music discovery. We want to give each artist we work with a great experience and are committed to doing this one artist at a time. Unlike streaming platforms that sell fans on the idea that they need all the world’s music in one place, we are all about celebrating singular artists and scenes, and are committed to giving each release its own space to breathe before we roll out the next.
