Whilst fans can stream your Digital Pressing through their Serenade profile, we recognise that they may already have a sizeable digital music collection that they'd like to expand or may want to access their Digital Pressing offline in the future!

As such, every fan who purchases your Digital Pressing is given the opportunity to download the audio files.

So, how does it work for me?

Whatever files you choose to upload as the audio for your Digital Pressing, are the exact same files that the fan will be able to download. This is a great opportunity to treat your most engaged fans with high-definition audio that they can't get through the 1-size-fits-all reality of streaming.

NB: As the fan gets the exact same files that you upload to Serenade, they will also get the same metadata embedded in those files. Make sure to check (particularly for file types like WAV) that basic metadata like the Artist Name and Album Name have been added)

And, how does it work for the fan?

Each edition of a Digital Pressing comes with 3 download credits. These 3 download credits, assigned to each individual edition, are constant regardless of whether the product is traded or sold to another fan. As a result, a purchaser can use all 3 credits (by doing 3 downloads of the same audio files) but as a result anyone who purchases their Digital Pressing afterwards, will not be able to download the audio files.

Why are fans restricted to 3 download credits per edition?

Due to publishing constraints, a limit for the amount of downloads available on this perpetual and tradable product is required. Over time, we hope to loosen these restrictions as the industry becomes more familiar with the product.

How do fans access their download?

By navigating to their profile, clicking their edition of your Digital Pressing and scrolling down to the Tracks section, they will see a 'Download Audio' button to the right of their screen. Clicking that will commence the download.

NB: We suggest that fans use their computer rather than their phone to download, as some files may be quite large, they may be unfamiliar with where the files are stored or not know how to add them to their existing library through their phone.
