How do I manage my shifts?

Serenity Vet is your all-in-one workspace, making it easy to manage your shifts in one convenient place. Let’s explore a few basic questions to help you understand how to manage your shifts!

How do I find my posted shifts?

To find all your posted shifts, just navigate to the Shift Management page! There, you’ll find your shifts neatly displayed on the calendar, right on the days they’re scheduled. It’s an easy way to keep track of upcoming shifts and manage your schedule with confidence.

How do I understand the status of my shift?

To understand the status of your posted shift, refer to the coloration and corresponding tags, which indicate one of four possible shift statuses:

  • Green: You have approved the shift application made by a veterinarian.

  • Yellow: You have received a shift application pending review from a veterinarian.

  • Red: The shift has been posted and is pending a shift application from a veterinarian.

  • Purple: The shift has been completed and finalized by a veterinarian; now it is pending your finalization to complete the payment.

How do I review shift applications?

To review shift applications from the Dashboard:

Keeping track of shift applications is easy with your Dashboard. Here's how to review and respond to shift applications in just a few clicks:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard page from the left-side menu.

  2. In the Shift Applications section, you’ll see a list of all pending applications waiting for your review.

  3. Click the "View" button on the shift card you’d like to review. This will open a sidebar with all the details of the veterinarian’s application.

  4. Approve or decline the shift application:

    • Click "Approve" if you're ready to accept the vet for the shift.

    • Click "Decline" if the candidate isn’t the right fit.

Once you take action, the veterinarian will be automatically notified whether their application was approved or declined.

To review shift applications from the Calendar:

Prefer managing shifts from the calendar? You can easily review pending applications right from the Shift Management page. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Shift Management page from the left-side menu to access your calendar view.

  2. Shifts with pending applications are highlighted in yellow and displayed on their scheduled dates.

  3. Click on a yellow-highlighted shift to open its details in the right-hand sidebar.

  4. Review and take action:

    • Click "Approve" to accept the veterinarian's application.

    • Click "Decline" if the vet doesn’t meet your criteria. You’ll be asked to confirm this action before it’s finalized.

Once you approve or decline, the veterinarian will automatically be notified of your decision.

How do I delete the pending shift?

Need to delete a shift before it's filled? Here's how to delete a pending shift:

  1. From the left-side menu, navigate to the Shift Management page to view your scheduled shifts.

  2. Click on the shift you’d like to remove. This will open the shift details in the sidebar.

  3. Click the "Delete Shift" button, then confirm the action in the pop-up window.

Once deleted, the shift will no longer be visible to veterinarians and will be removed from your calendar.

How do I delete a shift with the applied status?

If a shift already has an application, there’s one extra step before you can delete it. Here’s how to do delete a shift with the applied status:

  1. Navigate to Shift Management from the left-side menu to view your calendar.

  2. Click on the shift with the “Applied” status to view the application details in the sidebar.

  3. Click "Decline" to remove the veterinarian’s application. After confirming, the vet will be notified that their application was not accepted.

  4. Once the application is declined, reopen the shift sidebar and click "Delete Shift." Confirm the deletion to remove the shift completely.

After this, the shift will no longer appear on your calendar or be visible to veterinarians.

How do I delete the approved shift?

Need to delete a shift that’s already been approved? Here’s how to handle it:

  1. Navigate to the Shift Management page from the left-side menu and click on the shift with the “Approved” status.

  2. Before deleting the shift, we strongly recommend contacting the veterinarian directly to let them know that it has been canceled. You can find their phone number in the shift details on the sidebar.

  3. Once you’ve notified the vet, click the "Delete Shift" button in the sidebar and confirm the deletion.

The shift will be removed from your calendar and will no longer be visible to the veterinarian. Since the shift wasn’t completed or finalized, no payment will be processed.
