The purpose of the Totals tab is for you to understand your income and how each field contributes to your take-home.

You can see different types of charts across the top of the page. There are 5 different types of detailed Charts.

  1. Totals - Shows you a break down to totals of each of the fields you track in the app.

  2. History {Original} this is the legacy (original) History chart. It was kept as some people preferred it over the new Totals. Be prepared for this chart to be retired soon.

  3. To Date - this is a cumulative totals chart. This shows your cumulative totals for any time span. This is a good chart to see how you're doing so far this month compared to the last.

  4. Averages - this shows you the daily/weekly/monthly averages for the entire timeframe and also your day of week averages for the same timeframes.

  5. Compare - this set of charts shows you a break down comparing Jobs, Position, Shifts, or sections.

Each chart on every page works the same. There is s row of Numbers across the top of each chart. Each of these numbers when selected are displayed in the charts. You can scroll left and right as most charts have more totals than can fit in the main view above the chart. Tap the one you want displayed in the chart. Once displayed in the charts they'll display days, weeks, or months depending on what timeframe you're displaying.

General Operations for changing the dates

You can change the date range displayed by clicking on the left or right arrows to go to the previous or next date range. For example if you click the left arrow in the top chart the data will refresh showing the previous week. If you click the right arrow it'll show the next week. You can also click the Date Range in the Title to open a Date selector.

Calculations

The Tips are calculated differently depending if you track your wages as well.

With tracking your hourly wage:

  • Tips = Tips + (Wages * Hours)

  • Average Hourly Earnings = (Tips + (Wages * Hours)) / Hours

If you don't track your hourly wage:

  • Tips = Tips

  • Average Hourly Earnings = Tips / Hours

(Tips = Cash + Credit tips if enabled)

Tips are also affected by your Tip Out and Tip In if you choose to Add or Subtract them from your totals (you can configure this on the settings page)
