Let's see what has changed!

We are thrilled to introduce the completely rebuilt Service Geeni mobile app, featuring a modern and user-friendly design that makes managing your service needs a breeze. Available on Windows, iOS, and Android, the new app is designed to streamline your workflow and empower you to get things done efficiently.

Why not watch our new mobile app overview video here:

Below are the answers to some questions you might have about the new mobile app.

Old vs New app

1. Where can I find the new app?

When you're ready, download the new app from the app store that works best for your device.

2. Can I go back to the old app?

In short, yes! But while we encourage everyone to use the new app, if engineers need to revert to the old one, they should follow these steps:

  1. If the old application has been uninstalled, re-install it.

  2. You may be asked to register on the app again.

  3. If you aren't asked to register, use the Change Engineer option to reassign the app to the engineer number.

  4. You can then use the Who Am I option to confirm the updated engineer number.

3. Until what date can I use the old Geeni app?

Users can continue to use the old Service Geeni app until early 2025. The exact date will be announced soon.

Overall Layout

1. Where is the navigation bar located?

  • The navigation bar has been moved to the bottom of the screen. We did this to make it easier for you to access using just one hand.

  • Within the burger menu (top right) related pages are grouped together to make the list shorter and more manageable.

2. Where can I find the scanner functionality?

The scanner functionality has been moved from the top to the bottom bar. Now users can quickly access scanning features without having to reach for the top of the screen.

Jobs

1. What changes have been made to job cards?

  • Each job card now only displays the most important details, allowing engineers to quickly scan critical information.

  • We have visually enhanced some areas too:

    • Distinct Icons: You'll notice that important action buttons, like “Accept” and “Reject,” come with their own unique icons. This makes everything clearer and easier to use.

    • Charge Code Indicator: Instead of colouring the whole card, we’ve added a simple coloured line above each job card to show the charge code making them quick to identify and easy on the eyes.

    • Emergency Job Highlight: If an emergency job comes up, it’ll stand out clearly on the job card so you can spot it right away.

    • Conditional CTA Buttons: The Call-to-Action buttons (like Proceed or Next Steps) will only show up after you’ve accepted the job. This way, the right options appear at just the right time.

  • The card sizes have also been made smaller so you can see more cards on the screen at once, and avoid too much scrolling.

2. What is the KPI bar?

  • The new Key Performance Indicator (KPI) bar at the top of the Jobs page provides essential metrics such as Pending Today, Awaiting Signature, and In Progress.

3. How do I use the filter section?

  • You can filter your jobs by clicking the Filter icon on the left next to the KPI bar. This will open the pop-up where you can filter by repair or service jobs and also filter those just awaiting signatures. You can also select how you'd like to sort the results.

4. What branding and font changes have been made?

  • The Jobs page has been renamed from Jobs List to simply Jobs.

  • The information on each job card is written in a clearer font making it easier to read.

  • The top left corner now features the Service Geeni logo along with the current working task and job number so you can always see which job you are working on.

Job Details Page

1. How is the job details page organised?

  • Job details are now arranged into collapsible accordions, minimising scrolling and allowing engineers to find important information quickly. Important action buttons are clear and easy to reach.

  • The horizontal menu at the top features five options:

    • Details

    • Products

    • Equipment

    • Forms

    • Work Done

  • All actions from the top menu open in a pop-up from the bottom of the screen.

2. What are the new features in the Forms section?

  • Forms can now be separated into Required and Not Required so you can prioritise collecting the essential information on a job. There are also some new icons which clearly show the pass/fail status of documents.

Diary

1. How do I create a new job from the Diary page?

  • You can easily add a new job directly from the Diary page using the + icon in the bottom right corner. As well as viewing the previous day and week, you can also now view:

    • Day View

    • Week View

    • Work Week View

    • Month View

Notifications Centre

1. Where is the Notifications Centre located and how do I use it?

  • You can find the Notification Centre by clicking the bell icon next to the menu on the right. This is where you will see incoming messages, alerts and notifications.

  • The Unread section displays notifications that you haven’t opened or read yet, while the All section shows all notifications, including both read and unread messages.

Summary Page (Previously List)

1. What changes have been made to the Summary page?

  • The new design lists all jobs in a clear and organised manner, with more details accessible via an accordion-style view.

Work Done Tab

1. What enhancements have been made to the Work Done tab?

  • The Work Done tab now combines multiple sections simplifying navigation and ensuring you can see all the relevant information easily. These include:

    • Parts

    • Labour

    • Complete

    • Work Done

2. What new fields are available in Equipment Details?

  • You will find two new radio button fields have been added:

    • Customer Damage

    • Repeated Failure

  • Engineers can specify if any damage was caused by the customer or if the equipment is experiencing recurring failures. Users can also attach images or documents when selecting these options.

3. What are the new Calls to Action (CTAs)?

  • The Work Done tab includes buttons for:

    • Complete

    • Add New Task

    • Awaiting Signature

  • This makes sure engineers get a signature from the customer before proceeding.
