Why do I get no data found?

Reasons behind why you might get a “No Data Found” result.

  • The link is not exactly where you think it is, so the tables are linked but the fields are linked in a different way (order) this is because of how the data flows in Service Geeni.

E.g., the link could be going from CustomerSite > Equipment > Customer

  • If the site you are looking at doesn’t have any equipment, then it won’t find a customer record, so would not work as expected but it is working the away the database table and field/s are linked.

  • This happens when using a pivot table if one of the tables in the chain does not contain a record or you aren’t including one of the columns in the values section.

Note: It is always best to use data fields from the same datatable where possible, as there is less lag, therefore the Database does not have to process so many requests.
