Enhancements (5):

Automatically issue jobs to after hours engineers.

We have introduced a new feature that allows jobs to be raised from the customer portal without a login and be automatically assigned to engineers flagged for after-hours work, without any action from the SG web portal. This ensures that jobs raised via the customer portal by scanning the QR code on the equipment are immediately visible to all flagged engineers, bypassing the need for manual assignment through the SG portal.

Key Benefits:

Efficient Job Raising: Users can scan the QR code and raise jobs without needing to log in. This feature is configurable and can be enabled by contacting support.

Immediate Notification: Jobs raised via the customer portal will instantly notify all flagged engineers.

Automatic Assignment: Jobs are issued without any manual action from the SG portal.

Real-Time Updates: Once an engineer takes ownership of a job, it disappears from other engineers’ views and updates in the SG portal.

Priority Handling: Engineers can take ownership of jobs based on priority, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Steps to Set Up Engineers to Receive Jobs:

Enable Engineer Flag:

  1. Go to Settings → Engineers.

  2. Set the equipment to allow job raising creation without a login.

  3. Ensure the ‘Auto-issue jobs’ column is set to “Yes” for the engineer.

  4. The same flag can be found in the details view of a specific engineer.

  1. Set the equipment to allow job raising without a login.

  2. This flag can be found in the equipment details screen.

When both flags are enabled, engineers will receive jobs without the user needing to log in or a staff member having to assign the job from the SG web portal. Limitations:

Only 3 jobs can be raised per hour per equipment item without a login.

This feature enhances the efficiency of job handling, especially during after-hours, ensuring that urgent issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

Filters introduced to reports on Homepage

Reports on the homepage are read-only. Users must navigate to the BI section to apply filters, which undermines the convenience of having reports on the homepage for quick access to important data. Users will now be able to apply filters to the reports on the homepage. This allows for easy viewing of the necessary data without being restricted to the default view every time.

  • When a report is added to the homepage, a filter pop-up will appear initially.

Users will be able to apply and view filtered data as usual.

In the maximised screen, a filter option will be available at the top right. Clicking this icon will display the report filters.

Filters will be remembered even if the user logs out of SG.

Notes Fields Added to Quotation Documents

We have added the following fields to enhance the functionality of quotation documents:

  • Equipment Deal Quote (EquipmentDealQuotation dataset): Invoicing notes field

  • Job Quotation (Quotation dataset): Notes field

  • Sales Order Quotation (SalesOrderQuotation dataset): Notes field

These additions ensure that important notes can now be included in the quotation documents, providing a more comprehensive and consistent experience for users.

Addition of ClockHours to SubJobs Dataset

We have added the ClockHours field to the SubJobs dataset in the following communication centre documents:

  • Job Sheet Post Work

  • Job Sheet Pre Work

  • Job Sheet With Forms

The ClockHours field will now print the clock hours per subjob (task) as added in the Job Details. This enhancement ensures that the time spent on each subjob (task) is clearly documented, providing better tracking and reporting of job durations.

Addition of “Work To Be Carried Out” Field

We have added the “Work To Be Carried Out” field to the Hire Contract Quotation Document (Contract dataset). This field will now be included in the document, providing a clear description of the work to be performed under the hire contract.

Fixes (5):

Object Reference Error When Creating SKU on Quote

An object reference error occurs when attempting to create a new SKU while editing a quotation from Records → Quotations

We have identified and resolved the object reference error that occurred during the creation of a new SKU on a quotation. This fix ensures a smoother and error-free experience when adding SKUs to quotations.

Multiple Tabs Issue When Adding Quotations

Users experienced an issue where opening the “Add Quotation” page from both the quotation screen and the JobDetails screen resulted in multiple tabs being opened for adding quotations. This caused the JobDetails quote page to overwrite the session details for the quotation, leading to a null reference error when returning to the quotation screen and performing any operations. We have implemented tab locking for the popups to prevent multiple tabs from being opened when adding quotations. This ensures that when a new quote is added from the JobDetails page, the session details remain intact, and users no longer encounter null reference errors.

Collection Charges Not Applied for Certain Contract End Terms

Collection charges were not being added for contracts with end terms set to Rolling or AutoReissue. This prevented any collection charges from being applied regardless of the selected option. We have updated the logic to ensure that if the collection charge is set to “Charge On Next Invoice After Off-Hire” and the contract end term is Rolling or AutoReissue, collection charges will not be added. This change ensures that collection charges are applied correctly based on the selected options.

Engineer Filter Issue in Stock Records

We have resolved an issue in the Stock Records section where engineers would disappear from the filter list after navigating through stock records using the engineer filter, Now, all engineers will consistently appear in the filter list, ensuring a smoother and more reliable search experience.

Information Not Being Saved When Editing Quotes

Users reported that information added to quotes from Records → Quotations → Edit Quote was not being saved. We identified and fixed a tab locking issue that was causing the problem. Now, all information added to quotes will be saved correctly.
