Selecting the right Zebra

Zebra printers that work with Service Geeni need to have Bluetooth Connectivity and not just Bluetooth Setup with Wi-fi Connectivity.

The Bluetooth Connectivity allows Service Geeni to use a third-party library that works with Zebra Bluetooth printers and their ZPL printer language.

What to look for when purchasing a printer.

Fonts/Graphics

CPCL/ZPL

Latin 9, Arabic, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Source CodePro, NotoMono (CJK), Hans (CJK), Thai (Angsana)

ZPL

Standard fonts: 25 bitmapped, smooth-scalable (CG Triumvirate" Bold Condensed), scalable SourceCodePro, scalable NotoMono (CJK), scalable Hans (CJK), Optional fonts: Downloadable bitmapped and scalable fonts, "Contains UFST from Agfa Monotype Corporation

Programming Languages

CPCL, ZPL. The ZPL programming language ensures full compatibility with many other Zebra printers.

How it works

The printer connection shows a Bluetooth selection option. Once you select the printer, it prints a QR code label containing the URL web address for the equipment ID.
