Let's get to grips with Stock Take.

Stock Take is the process of verifying and recording the quantities of items in your inventory system. It involves creating and completing entries to maintain accurate stock records.

Getting There

To begin, navigate to the Stock Take module through the Stock menu.

Stock Take

Navigation

The Stock Take page lets you create and manage entries. The records screen displays a list of previous stock takes, which you can filter and search as needed.

  • Click the Plus icon next to any entry to view the items linked to that stock take.

The Action Tray has some more options, where you can:

  • Complete a Stock Take Entry.

  • Cancel The Entry

Create a Stock Take

  • You can create a Stock Take by clicking the Create Stock Take button.

  • In the window, select a location from the list via the ellipsis (...). This is the physical location of the stock.

Leave the Bin or Item Range blank to include all stock at the selected location.

When defining a range, the system will chronologically check all items within the two points. For example, if you have 10 SKUs and select items 2 and 8, the search will exclude items 1, 9, and 10. The same applies to Bin locations.

  • Define a Bin Range by selecting the starting and ending bins using the ellipsis. Bins represent specific stock areas within the location.

  • Next, choose an Item Range and select the starting SKU from the list, followed by an ending SKU in the second field.

  • Finally, select whether to exclude the following:

    • Parts with Zero Quantities

    • Superseded Parts with Zero Quantities

    • Quarantine Bins

    • Reserved Parts

  • Click Save to create the Stock Take.

You have created a Stock Take!

Create a Stock Take Entry

You can select the Stock Take Entry button to continue with and complete a stock take run.

  • Select a Run Number using the ellipsis, then choose the relevant run from the list.

  • You can also see a list of all the runs available by clicking Show All.

  • Enter the current Quantity in the corresponding column and add Comments if needed.

  • You can also edit the Expiry Date and Batch Number if enabled.

  • After filling those out, select Confirm Stock Take Entry.

You have successfully created a Stock Take Entry.
