Can I get a Driver License or State ID without my parent present?

If you are under 18 and your parent cannot be present, you must provide a completed Parent Authorization Form.

For an Intermediate License, you will also need an Affidavit of Driver Training confirming you have completed 50 hours of driver training.

The only exception for obtaining a State ID without parental consent is if you are classified as a Homeless Youth. For more details, visit the Homeless Youth ID Program page.
