Claims - Creating a New Claim

Getting started:

ServicePower HUB provides two ways to submit a new claim. They can be entered manually or a file containing the claim can be uploaded.

New Claim Creation Option 1:


Creating New Claim in HUB:

To create a new claim, open the claims menu by clicking claims from the main menu. A new menu will appear just below the main menu. From this new menu, click 'New' to launch the new claims form page.




New Claim Creation page:

The page that opens after clicking New is the first step in creating a new Claim. The page contains the following data fields:

  1. Manufacturer:

    This field indicates the client/network of the product that was serviced in the service request and to whom the claim is intended. Select the client/network by clicking the dropdown arrow and scrolling until the desired client/network is reached.

  2. Claims Number:

    This is the unique identifier of any claim. The number/format can differ from client to client. 

  3. Dispatch Number:

    The unique number assigned to the dispatch which will correspond to the created claim. 
    Locate the Dispatch ticket and add its assigned number in this field.

    After entering the required data, click the green OK button at the bottom of the page. This will create the new Claim and open it for editing.

New Claim Option 2:


Uploading Claim as a file

The second way to add claims to HUB is by uploading existing claims from a file on a server or local machine.

Start by opening the claims menu by clicking claims from the main menu. Locate the option labeled Upload from the now visible claims menu.




Upload Page:

After clicking the upload option from the claims menu, HUB will open the file upload page. Click inside the 'File to Upload' box, and type in the file location for the claim to upload. Always include the file name at the end of the file address.

IE: 
H://Claims/upload/new claim.txt

Claims can also be uploaded by clicking the green file search button to the right of the text bar.



This will launch the computer's default OS search tool. Navigate to the file location and double-click it to map the file location to the file upload box.

The 'File to Upload' box should not reflect the file path. To upload the document, click the green 'Upload' button to submit the claim to HUB.


Additional Functionality:

The file upload page includes a quick set of instructions to guide and assist with quickly uploading a claim. These instructions can be found above the 'File to Upload' field and below the upload button.
