Release 2.1.6.1 adds a simplified UI refresh that makes it easier to add or update exceptions. Let's walk through the process, starting with creating a new tech exception.

New Tech Exception - Settings>Workforce>Technicians>click Tech Exception button at lower right.

The Technician Exception window pops up to allow you to adjust capacity as needed. From the screen shown below, here are the steps needed to create a new exception.

  1. Select the appropriate technician

  2. Select the date or date range for the desired exception

  3. Adjust the capacity for each of the time slots for the technician

  4. To finish, click the Save button at bottom right of the window.

Column 1 shows the adjusted capacity - Column 2 shows the default tech capacity

Review existing tech exceptions - Settings>Workforce>Technician Exceptions.

The exceptions shown below are editable. Simply click the desired option for a given week to open the Technician Exception Details window.

  • Numerical values represent the capacity for the respective week.

  • The + represents a full, non-reduced week. Clicking the + icon will allow you to make an adjustment for that week without having to go through the create new process.

The Technician Exception Details window allows a quick and easy way to view and even update the adjusted capacity.

  1. To adjust an existing line, click the edit icon at the right.

  2. This will open the dual column view to show the current capacity setting (left), and default capacity (right).

  3. Make the desired adjustment within this field and then click the checkmark to save the change or click the X button to disregard any change.
