Why Tagging and Categorising Assets Matters
Taking a little time now to properly tag and categorise your assets will save you lots of time and effort later. Logical and intuitive tags and categories make it easier for you (and others) to quickly find the assets you need. It’s an investment in staying organised and efficient!
How to Tag and Categorise a Single Asset
To tag or categorise an asset, you need to have Full Access, Edit Rights, or be the Creator of the asset. Here’s how you can do it:
Select the Asset you want to work with and click on the Details tab.
Click the Pencil icon in the top right of the Details tab. This will allow you to edit the asset's information.
In the Tags and Categories section, add or update the tags and categories as needed.
Once you're done, click Save to apply your changes.
Tip: Make sure to separate your tags with a comma to keep things organised!
How to Tag and Categorise Multiple Assets
Got multiple assets to update? No problem! Here’s how you can tag and categorise several at once:
Go to your Asset Library and click on the Multi-select button at the top.
You can choose to:
Click Select All to apply changes to all your assets.
Or manually check the top right corner of each asset to select only the ones you want to update.
Once you’ve made your selections, click Edit next to the Multi-select button. This will open the details form for all the assets you’ve selected.
Add or update the Tags and Categories for the selected assets.
Click Save to confirm your changes. The details you add will apply to all the assets you selected.
