Welcome to the Sesimi User FAQ! Here, you'll find quick answers to common questions about using Sesimi. Whether you're uploading assets, sharing to social media, or managing permissions, this guide will help you get the most out of your experience with Sesimi. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to our support team for more assistance.

Why can’t I see any assets in my library?

If your asset library is empty, it could be because no assets have been uploaded yet. To upload assets, click the Upload button and select files from your device. Make sure you are logged into the correct account associated with the assets. If you're still having trouble, contact support for assistance.

What should I do if I see an 'Incorrect username or password' error when logging in?

If you see this error, either the username or password you entered is incorrect. Double-check your login details and ensure you’re using the right email address linked to your account. If your account was created over 90 days ago and you’ve never logged in, your temporary password may have expired. Contact support to get a new temporary password.

What do the different share settings mean?

There are 4 share permissions: Full Access, Edit, Export, and View Only.

  • Full Access: Users can delete, edit, and share the asset.

  • Edit: Users can edit the asset but can’t delete or share it.

  • Export: Users can export (download) the asset but can’t edit or delete it.

  • View Only: Users can only view the asset.

How do I upload and manage my assets in Sesimi?

To upload assets, click on the Upload button in the Asset Library. You can drag and drop files or select them from your device. Once uploaded, you can manage assets by using tags and categories to organise them. You’ll also be able to rename or edit details from the asset’s settings menu.

How do I share assets directly to my social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)?

To share an asset, go to the Asset Export tab and select the asset you want to share. Choose the social media platform from the options (Facebook or Instagram), and click Share. Follow the prompts to log into your account, and then publish directly from Sesimi.

How do I set permissions for team members or collaborators?

To set permissions, go to the Users in your Settings. From there, you can create & invite team members and assign them roles with specific access levels. Roles determine what a team member has access to in Settings. User permissions are different to Asset permissions. See above for Asset Permissions.

Can I organise my assets into folders or categories?

Sesimi doesn't use folders, but you can organise assets with Categories and Tags. Admin users can create, edit, or delete categories from the Settings area. Create and use tags to easily filter and search for assets later.

What file formats and sizes are supported for uploads?

Sesimi supports most common file types like JPG, PNG, GIF, and MP4. Typically files should be under 100MB each.

How do I edit or delete assets that I've uploaded?

To edit an asset, open it from the Asset Library and select the Details tab. You'll find a pencil icon in the top right, click it to open the edit asset form. You can change details like tags, categories, or descriptions. To delete, click on the asset and select Delete from the options. Be cautious, as deletions are permanent.

How does the search and filtering feature work in the asset library?

You can search for assets using keywords or filters. Filters allow you to narrow down assets by type, tags, or categories. Use the search bar at the top of the Asset Library, and apply filters on the left to refine your results.

How do I export my assets with specific settings (e.g., resolution, format)?

In the Asset Export tab, select the asset you want to export. You can choose the file format (e.g., JPG, PNG, MP4) and adjust settings like resolution or size before exporting. Once set, click Export to download the asset or share it.

What should I do if I encounter an issue or need support?

If you need help, click the Help button in the bottom-left corner to chat with our support team or search for more answers in the Help Center. You can also submit a support ticket if your issue requires further assistance.

Can I Edit an Asset Created from a Template?

Yes, you can upload a new image file to an asset you’ve created, which will generate a new version of the file. This feature is especially helpful if the asset was created from an approved Template, allowing you to update the image without needing to resubmit a brand-new asset.
