Settle simplifies payments by offering multiple methods—ACH, wire, or paper check. Payment processing times depend on when the payment is initiated, whether it’s financed or non-financed, and the recipient’s location.
When scheduling a payment, the ETA windows displayed on the platform for the actual payment provides the most reliable and up-to-date payment timing estimate. These ETAs dynamically adjust based on real-time conditions and sharing this information with your vendor ensures clear communication and alignment with when payments are expected to be received.
The recipient will also receive a confirmation PDF with the estimated arrival date.
Non-financed payments timing
For non-financed payments, funds must first be debited from your bank account and received by Settle before being sent to the vendor. Below is an estimated breakdown of timing based on payment method and recipient location:
These payments are scheduled by pressing the "Pay ASAP" or "Schedule" button on the invoice. Before funds can be sent to your vendor, those funds need to be debited from your bank account first.

Financed payments timing
For payments using Extend Payment Terms (EPT), the vendor is paid upfront, skipping the fund collection step from your bank account. Below is an estimated breakdown of timing based on payment method and recipient location:

Exceptions to timelines
Foreign Currency Payments: We recommend you allow an additional business day for currency conversion.
Weekends and holidays: Payments scheduled on non-business days will process on the next working day.
Payment approvals: Delays may occur if you have internal approval rules set on your bills or payments. If these are not met promptly, this may cause a delay in the intended timing of the payment.
Due diligence: Some payments may be subject to additional reviews by Settle or our financial partners to meet regulatory requirements. As an example, payments to new vendors or financed payments without payment details may require additional due diligence by our compliance team.
