Should I create an Individual or Business Account?

Written by Jaime

Individual accounts are intended for individuals investing or trading their own funds. The linked bank account should be held in the individual’s name or jointly held, such as with a spouse.

Business accounts are intended for funds owned or operated through a legal entity, including corporations, LLCs, partnerships, trusts, investment funds, and other organizations. This applies whether the entity is trading its own capital or managing funds on behalf of others. The linked bank account should be held in the name of the business, fund, or legal entity.
