When we release a new version of ShareGate Migrate, some updates will be held up behind an online feature flag that we will remove remotely later to make these updates available.
Advantages
We've implemented feature flags in our development cycle because:
They increase our release cycle's security and delivery rate by allowing us to deploy updates over multiple releases.
They improve our response time if bugs or incidents occur since online flags can be added back to block parts of a release if they cause unexpected issues.
Considerations
If the app is on an offline machine, updates behind an online feature flag will become available with the next update.
