Pricing plans

There are three plans to choose from—a $5 plan, a $10 plan, and a $20 plan.

Each plan covers transaction fees up to a set amount for buy and sell orders, and a separate, higher amount for auto-invest orders. Transfer fees on payments made from a linked bank (including round-ups) are also covered.

Other fees—such as currency exchange fees, or card top-up fees—are not covered.

Start a plan

To start a plan, go to Account > Pricing plans and choose a plan that suits your investing needs.

Your plan will start straight away if you’ve got enough AUD in your Wallet to pay the fee, or if you’re paying by debit or credit card.

If you start your plan on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of a month, your coverage will renew on the first day of the month after next. It’ll then continue to renew on the first day of each following month.

For example, if you start a plan on 31 March, your coverage will next renew on 1 May and continue to renew on the first day of the months that follow (so long as the plan fee is paid).

Plan renewal

The coverage for an active plan will automatically renew at 12:01 AM on the same day each month.

The fee will be charged to your chosen payment method either monthly or annually.

To see when you’ve been charged for a plan, go to Wallet > Transaction history (you can filter by Money out to find these more easily).

If your chosen payment method is a debit or credit card and your payment fails, we'll try again (if you're paying monthly) or cancel your plan (if you're paying annually, or if your monthly payment fails a second time).

If your chosen payment method is your Wallet and you don’t have enough AUD in your Wallet to cover your plan fee, your Wallet balance may go into negative. If you’re not able to pay your plan fee for two months in a row, your plan won’t renew the second time (and the 1.9% transaction fee (and per order fee caps) will apply to all orders).

Upgrade your plan

You can upgrade a plan at any time.

To upgrade, go to Account > Pricing plans, and select Change plan.

You’ll need to pay the difference in plan fee (for example, $5 if you’re switching from the $5 plan to the $10 plan and you’re paying monthly), and your plan will upgrade straight away.

Downgrade or cancel your plan

You can downgrade or cancel your plan at any time, however, it won’t take effect until the last day of your plan’s current payment period.

To downgrade or cancel, go to Account > Pricing plans, and select Change plan or Cancel plan.

We do not provide refunds for downgraded or cancelled plans.

Coverage

When you’re on a plan, your transaction fees are covered for a set amount of auto-invest orders, as well as a set amount of individual buy and sell orders—this is called your plan’s coverage.

Coverage is used in the order that your orders are placed (for buy orders) or filled (for sell orders).

After you’ve used up your plan’s coverage, you’ll be charged the pay as you go rate (1.9%) on all additional orders you place. Upgrading your plan will give you more coverage straight away (you just need to pay the difference in the plan fee when you upgrade).
