You can transfer shares from a Shareholder Reference Number (SRN) into and out of Sharesies. Currently, you can’t transfer shares from a Holder Identification Number (HIN) into or out of Sharesies.

Request the share transfer

  1. Log in to Sharesies

  2. Go to Account > Transfer shares

  3. Select Transfer in or Transfer out

  4. Select ASX from the list of stock exchanges

  5. Add your SRN, and if needed, your Tax File Number (TFN)

  6. Check and confirm that your name and address match those on your Issuer Sponsored Holding Statement

  7. Select the investment(s) that you want to transfer

  8. Enter the date, price paid per share, and the number of shares to transfer for each allotment of shares received

  9. Confirm that the details are correct in the summary

  10. Print and sign the transfer form with a black or blue pen—we cannot accept digital signatures—then upload a clear image of the signed form

  11. Upload your Issuer Sponsored Holding Statement and valid ID

  12. Submit the application

You don’t need to complete the process in one session—you can save your progress along the way.

Once requested, transfers usually take up to five to fifteen business days to complete. We’ll contact you if we need anything more from you.

Joint, trust, or company SRNs

We’re only able to accept transfers from individual SRNs. We do not accept transfers from joint SRNs, trusts, or companies.
